Real Estate Law
Since the early days of his practice in the 1970s, Tom Whitmore has dealt with issues surrounding all varieties of commercial, industrial, and residential real estate, spanning site selection, due diligence, finance, development, leasing and sales.
Investors
We represent individual and institutional investors, owners and developers of commercial and residential investment properties; Buyers and Sellers of homes, condos, and residential building lots; and Small business owners and those seeking to establish, buy or sell small businesses.
Residential
We assist Buyers and Sellers of homes, condominiums, and residential building lots. We prepare purchase agreements, arrange for title searches and title insurance, prepare closing documents, and assist with closing arrangements. Our firm also handles real estate title questions, such as those that may arise after the death of a family member due to improper estate planning.
Transactions
We have many years of experience with all kinds of real estate closings. We prepare real estate deeds, mortgages, deeds of trust and other financing instruments. For multi-party investment groups, we create real estate joint venture agreements and partnership agreements.
